Have you ever had a professional facial? They are amazing! One glorious hour with a skin care expert doing all the things your face loves and needs!

Yet in the real world, those moments are far and few between for the most of us. We get our kicks doing the bare minimum of whatever the Internet is calling the ultimate skin care guide.  Let us take things back to basics and get our kicks doing something our skin loves while we feed our soul a little too. This Sunday, Fedited is sharing a balancing evening skin care routine with the added bonus of some universe support*.

We have various different favorites, loves, and must-haves, but one thing is for sure, we care about Earth. So choosing a skin care routine that has the least harmful effects on the planet is important. That means no sheet masks, avoid excessive packaging and read the ingredient label. Now that we have that covered, let’s get to the fun part!

Set the scene for your mask. Take out the candles, put on your favorite bop at the moment, and get your supplies together.  Beyond the mask, you will need a clean face towel, a large bowl, and hot water. I like to put the kettle on the stove and once it is ready, pour the steaming water into a large clean mixing bowl. Then with the clean towel draped over the back of my head, I let the steam open on my pores. If you prefer to use the steam from your shower that is fine too! This is all about customizing to your style and needs.

Once I am feeling nice and steamy, I apply the mask. Most treatments require anywhere from 10-20 minutes. Here at Fedited, we like to use this time to be creative. While binging on the latest Netflix series has it’s time and place, we believe in the inertia of creative productivity. So while you are still wiping away bits of the mask from your fingertips, we want you to start reaching for the old magazines, newspapers, scissors, pens, anything you can get your hands on that will inspire you!

Making a vision board is by far one of the most rewarding ways to spend an evening. Dumping your brain onto the table, organize it into a vision, plan your thoughts and dreams into goals, this is what we here at Fedited want to inspire you to do. Of course, clean skin is a benefit to any lifestyle, so now you have that going for you too.  Just read what our founding member Emmi says about her experience with using vision boards,

“I used to think dream boards are just for those who love to make scrapbooks and that kind of stuff, but recently they have become an important tool for me to clear my mindset. Last year at this time I made a dream board of my goals and everything I’d love to incorporate in my life. And boy, it worked. ALL MY DREAMS on the board have come true, only in one year. So new year, new dream board it is! You just need to remember the good feeling and work your ass off for your dreams, follow your intuition in this – as well as in your everyday life. Vibes don’t lie”.

Like Glinda the good witch, she transforms miraculous thoughts into reality in record time.  We love her inspiration and passion for creating your life through your vision. The Universe support* you get from a personalized vision board is beyond anything any single Pinterest quote or Gif can inspire. It is 100% yours and ready to be the visual tool to kick-start your hustle to the top!

Now you have the inspiration, a visual plan, and probably a dry mask on your face, it is time to finish off your evening and clean your skin. Our final tip is to take the clean towel and soak it in the warm water bowl. This is crucial for removing the mask so the skin is least irritated and the maximum cleanliness is achieved.  The beauty of using the warm water in the bowl means that you are not limited to your bathroom for this Sunday self-care. Bring your moment out from the water closet and into space you feel most like yourself. Keep the good vibes playing in your speakers, hang up that vision board high, and don’t forget to moisturize!
