Home / Career / SARIANNE SOLIO, CEO & MANAGING DIRECTOR

Sarianne Solio, our CEO, is an energetic powerhouse who will make things work. Her skills in managing and building brands are beyond innovative. Read ahead and get to know her better.

Who are you?
I’m a woman with dreams, passionated in saving the World in a way or another, some sort of fashionista and a friend, sister and daughter.

What did you want to be when you were a child?
The president.

What does success mean to you?
It has changed a lot during the journey. First is was about money, wealth and fame but now it’s more about respect. You know you’ve succeeded when people come to you and say ”I love what you are doing”.

What quote inspires and motivates you to be yourself and do what you love?
I have two tattoos. One is in latin ”Amor fati” it mean ”Love of ones faith”. Basically that means whatever happens in life, good or bad, don’t loose your fire and stop pursuing your dreams because it was meant to happen and had a meaning you don’t know yet. The other tattoo says ”Mana”. Is one of the hawaiian life principles and it means ”Power comes within”. Have a good heart, concentrate more about deeper things in people rather how they look or what kind of status they have.

What does the world need more of? Less of?
It needs more education, compassion and enlightment. Less jealousy, anger and selfishness.

Name a woman whom you admire or look up to.
Maya Angelou is one of them. She was a big woman with big heart. She kept going even though she faced a lot of difficulties. She was an artist but also political activist.

What characteristics do you most admire in other creative women?
I love the idea that they are just doing what they love. They don’t think that they have to be successful or wealthy. They have that fire inside of them and they know they are on the right path.

What’s your favorite thing to come home to after a long day of work?
Food. I’m such an angry woman if my blood sugar drops too low.

Which of your traits are you the most proud of?
I don’t even know if this is true but some way I’ve always felt that even though I suck at math, I have a quite sharp mind and a head full of ideas. I’m also now, as the CEO, proud of my leadership skills. A good leader is someone who is characteristic but warm and good to employees.

Name your greatest success in your career.
I’m sure there is much bigger ones coming up but for now I would say after we started FEDITED, many of my friends have come to me and said that I’m blooming. Like now I have found the purpose and I’m on the right path. There’s not one event but the overall good feeling of what you are doing.

Sarianne has done countless projects consulting the brands – She will find answers to everything – for example “how to proceed in building the brand”, “how to do effective marketing” and “how to create a social media plan”. These subjects are also appearing in our e-books – stay tuned! Photo by Milja Laakso

What surprises people most about you?
Goofiness and bad jokes.

What was your first job?
I was helping my aunt in her catering company. Washing dishes etc.

Who is your style icon and why?
Lenita Airisto is a 81 year old Finnish business leader, promoter of Finnish industrial and cultural exports, TV journalist and author. She has that certain old fashioned glamour combined with modern style.

What are you most grateful for?
Family.

What’s the weirdest thing about you?
When I really need to get things done, I sit at home with my laptop, don’t meet anyone for couple of days and don’t even go shower, eat shitty food but boy, things really get going then.

What are you excited for when you wake up in the morning?
Coffee.

Did you go to college? If so, would you recommend it?
Yes. Education is the most important thing in this world. So many fights and even wars could have been avoided if people would have been highly educated. It’s not just what you know but how you see the World. Entertainment industry is ruining our brains and mindsets. Focus more on books and deep conversations with people rather that watch TV and movies.

What do you want to be doing in ten years?
I would love to have several successful companies that are running with the help of really amazing team like we have now. At the age of 35 I would also love to have my own family and I would be setting an example how you can be a working mother and wife. Also I am already really interested in politics so maybe I’m changing the World and would be part of something bigger.

What’s the best thing about what you do?
Influence. I want to set an example via FEDITED, how you can change your consuming habits and educate yourself through our site. Also it’s amazing how much we can learn from our readers as well! We have a truly remarkable community.
