OUR OCTOBER OBSESSIONS

Home / Inspiration / OUR OCTOBER OBSESSIONS

In the office, the clear trendsetters are the daring leaders and founders of Fedited, Sarianne Solio and Emmi Kainulainen. Together these two conquer their goals with style and grace.

The month of October came with its traditional duties, planning, surprises, and frustrations, yet through it, all Sarianne and Emmi came out with perspective on how to evolve best for the future. But what did they wear while they conquered these tasks? How did they unwind after facing unexpected issues? What occupied their mental space while they spent their morning daydreaming. That’s what the Fedited team wants to know and we think you will too.

Entertainment is the clear outlet, so what did these two ladies enjoy all month long? While streaming the latest and greatest series on TV is fun, these two make time to better their minds. Sarianne is deep into her Philosophy book by the Finnish author Esa Saarinen. While Emmi has been obsessing over her favorite podcast Style Your Mind hosted by Cara Alwill. Follow Emmi on Instagram to get her latest thoughts on the Podcast while she goes on her morning walk with her puppy Rafa.

The ladies also have had strong opinions about their fashion choices this month. Sarianne is rocking red accessories every which way. Making a statement with a red lip, upcycled blazer, or repurposing her Grandmothers pieces, you are sure to catch Sarianne owning her autumn color.

Emmi, on the other hand, is taking in the new season in the warm embrace of a men’s oversized coat. This contrast in styles adds a statement to any wardrobe and Emmi looks effortless and edgy all at once while staying cozy amidst temperatures drop.

For you Finland natives, you may know that the Habitare event happened this past month. A lovely event hosting interior, design, and furniture, and our Sarianne was there to experience it all. It was at this event she found her latest design obsession, S’well water bottles. Unlike others, S’well is doing more to be the best reusable bottle on the market while giving back to charities such as UNICEF USA, Breast Cancer Research Fund, and (RED). So obviously, Sarianne is smitten with her new investment.

As for Emmi, she is keeping things crafty and creative while focusing on her own interior design. All month she has been collecting fabrics, specifically in the autumnal brown hues, for a DIY design project she has planned for an ottoman in her home.

Lastly, the ladies are making glorious strides in self-care. While life can seem hectic for most of us in the transition season from Summer to Autumn, Sarianne and Emmi are focusing on self-care. Sarianne specifically is making time to unwind and decompress at her family cottage. This Finnish cultural cottage tradition is highly underrated and incredibly restoring for the mind and spirit. Follow Sarianne on Instagram to keep up with her weekend events and out of office adventures where she goes for a morning swim in the lake or an afternoon hike through her family’s apple orchard. Emmi, on the other hand, is drifting away in her own bathroom. Using a combination of Coconut Oil and Epson Salt for an evening soak. This combination is detoxifying for the muscles and hydrating for the skin, which we think is the perfect remedy to fight autumn fatigue and dehydration from changing temperatures.
