As many of us know, the idea of a clean slate can be a stimulating time. Be it a literal blank canvas, a white room, a new apartment, or just revamping a corner in your current home, the fresh ideas can start to pour through your mind.
“And boy did they serve up some serious interior style glam for no money down.”

We want to share some of the tips and tricks Sarianne and Emmi used when they got started decorating their new office space, in hopes that it will inspire you to put down the credit card and think outside the box. How can you get the most out of your space, while truly challenging your creativity and bringing your personality to life in the environment around you? It sure shows at the Fedited HQ, seeing how two classy women can transform an old hair salon into a chic workspace and cozy chill space all through the power of thrift!
First of all, take advantage of what you already got! Take inventory of your home, maybe your storage space, and think about what can be repurposed. Maybe you have some pieces that just need a new home, or could use a coat of paint. After a while, we start to think some of our items have less appeal because we grow bored of seeing them every day. Giving an old piece new energy can rekindle that love and help you save on money.

The second tip is to ask family and friends! So if you think you’re swamped with old junk, just think what your family and friends might have on their hands. Having a network of people to collaborate with, share, and exchange goods are so fun! Resurrect the days of bartering with your best friend and share a coffee table for a bookshelf. Or call up an older relative who might be willing to share a piece of their collection with you. You never know who is willing to contribute if you don’t ask! Sarianne got lucky when her Grandmother gifted her an old bench, which she then painted and turned into the cozy couch you now see in the office space!
The third tip is to keep the details in mind. Sarianne and Emmi kept up with their theme by keeping a few uniform pieces in mind. Gold details, glass accessories, and custom art tie the space together. So even if you have odds and ends that might not match up, gravitating towards cohesive items can help keep the vision on brand and beautiful. A can of gold spray paint can transform anything into one unison theme.

Lastly, we deeply encourage you to get creative! Sarianne knows no limits to her creations and built the custom sculpture hanging in the center of the room. With a clever mind, she painted a branch found from her cottage and made dozens of recycled paper origami cranes. We believe creativity saves the world, and want you to be a creative savior too!
